KUB power supply returns to normal Request for customers to conserve energy has been lifted. KUB is returning to normal operations following a period of increased electricity demand caused by extremely high temperatures. The regional power grid operated by Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is also returning to normal operations following the increase in demand.“We appreciate the efforts of our customers who helped alleviate the situation through voluntary conservation measures,” said Gabriel J. Sales Tax Referendum on Nov. 4 Ballot. Knoxville City Council voted on Tuesday to let voters choose whether to increase the Local Option Sales Tax by 1/2-cent – a move that would enable the city to build up neighborhoods with more sidewalks, paved streets and park amenities while tripling the city’s commitment to affordable housing. Council also voted that any new revenue be committed as detailed in Mayor Indya Kincannon’s Neighborhood Infrastructure Five-Year Investment Plan.
