Two-day Rossini Festival starts Saturday

Knoxville Opera’s first two-day Rossini Festival will provide non-stop entertainment from Saturday, April 20, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. through Sunday, April 21, noon-6 p.m.

The Rossini Festival will use four outdoor stages to feature a wide variety of music from opera to ethnic compositions and dance performances from ballet to modern versions. One advertised event includes Teen Spirt, a band performing Saturday night at 8, followed by a unique Silent Disco, then ending the night with a celebration of music the organizers promise to be unforgettable.

The festival also promises 75 food vendors, multiple artisans and activities for children, making it a perfect family outing.

With free admission, there is something for everyone in the family to have a fun-filled weekend.
