Pet lovers across East Tennessee are invited to gather for a tail-wagging good time at Paws for a Cause this Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Carden Farm Dog Park in Clinton. Hosted by the Anderson County Animal Rescue Foundation, this family-friendly event raises funds and awareness for animals in need throughout the region while offering a full day of fun for both pets and their people.

The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley will be on-site alongside other local shelters and rescue organizations, bringing adoptable animals and sharing information about how the community can support lifesaving efforts. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet pets looking for loving homes, learn more about responsible pet ownership and discover ways to get involved through volunteering, fostering and donations.

Paws for a Cause has grown into a highly anticipated annual event, featuring more than 60 vendors, a variety of food trucks and interactive activities for all ages. From pet-related products and services to local artisans and community groups, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Educational booths will also be available, offering helpful resources on pet care, training and animal welfare initiatives happening across East Tennessee.

One of the most popular highlights of the day is the pet costume contest, where attendees are encouraged to dress up their furry companions in creative, funny or heartwarming outfits. From superheroes to storybook characters, the contest is always a crowd favorite and provides plenty of smiles and photo opportunities. Prizes will be awarded for standout costumes, making it a must-see event for participants and spectators alike.

In addition to the festivities, Paws for a Cause serves an important purpose by supporting the mission of the Anderson County Animal Rescue Foundation. Proceeds from the event help provide critical resources such as veterinary care, spay and neuter services, pet food assistance and emergency support for animals and families in need. Events like this play a vital role in strengthening the safety net for pets across the region.

Whether you are looking to adopt, support a local organization or simply enjoy a spring day with your animals, Paws for a Cause is a meaningful way to make a difference while having fun.

Pet Tip: When bringing your pet out in public, keep them on a secure leash and watch for signs of stress like excessive panting or pulling away. Bring water, waste bags and give them breaks to ensure a safe, enjoyable outing for everyone.
