A charity raffle ticket could win you a Picasso painting worth $1M
In an effort to raise money for Alzheimer’s research, a French TV host and philanthropist, Peri Cochin, is set to raffle off an incredibly rare prize, an original Picasso painting. Created by the artist in 1941, Tête de femme is a portrait of Dora Maar, one of his most celebrated muses and companions. The artwork is valued at more than $1 million, and the raffle is open to people in the US and around the world.

This is the third edition of the international fundraising initiative known as “1 Picasso For 100 Euros”. The painting itself reflects the artist’s iconic Cubist period, and larger Dora Maar portraits have sold at past auctions for $20-30 million, placing this piece within one of the most sought-after collections in modern art history.
The raffle drawing will be broadcast live on April 14 at Christie’s in Paris under legal supervision and has already sold half of its 120,000 tickets worldwide.
All proceeds will be dedicated to funding scientific research into Alzheimer’s. According to the World Health Organization, the disease affects more than 35 million people globally, including over 7 million in the United States alone.
