Eugenia Williams House is offering visitors an early opportunity to experience the historic House and Grounds ahead of the official grand opening on April 11.

The Eugenia Williams House will welcome visitors during a soft opening phase designed to introduce the site in a measured, intentional way. During opening hours, visitors are welcome to enjoy the 24-acre property, including its expansive front lawn, historic stone paths, and wooded walking trails.

Interior access to the House is available through ticketed tours offered by Laura Still of Knoxville Walking Tours, one of the city’s most respected historic interpreters. Tours cost $25 per person, and fees directly support Knoxville Walking Tours. More information about tours is available at eugeniawilliamshouse.org/groups-tours.

Public Sneak Peek Schedule

  • March 26–28: Grounds are again open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ticketed 75-minute House tours offered Thursday and Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.; House tour reservations are required.
  • The property will be closed from March 29 through April 10 to ensure the House and Grounds are fully prepared for the grand opening. Details about the April 11 public event will be shared in the coming weeks.

Know Before You Go

The Eugenia Williams House does not operate as a traditional drop-in historic house museum. Interior access to the House is available only through ticketed guided tours and cultural events. All visitors are welcome to enjoy and explore the expansive Grounds, which are an ArbNet-accredited Level One arboretum, during opening hours. Visitors are advised that some trails feature steep drops, uneven terrain, and stairs.

Because of the property’s historic nature, on-site parking is limited and may fill up during busy times. Visitors are advised to allow extra time for their visit.
