Animal Encounters at Zoo Knoxville provide unforgettable adventures. Plan ahead so you don’t miss the chance to meet our animal ambassadors, chat with their caretakers, and learn how you can help wildlife and wild places. Each encounter offers fascinating insights into an animal’s behavior, diet, habitat, and conservation status, among other things.

- Max’s Aviary 10 a.m.
- Otters: 11 a.m.
- Red Pandas 3 p.m.
- Great Apes: 1:30 p.m.
- Ostriches 1:30 p.m.
- Lions or Baboons: 2 p.m.
- Rhinos: 2:30 p.m.
