Do you remember the movie, The Fabulous Baker Boys? Since it came out in 1989, I’m not surprised if you don’t, but we have discovered today’s Baker Boys!
The Dining Duo visited Baker Boys Pizza at 7438 Maynardville Hwy in Halls. Just because there is no “fabulous” in their name does not mean it’s not in their food.
To save a little wait time, we called in our order, and it was ready when we arrived. We ordered a 16 “pepperoni and cheese pizza, a 1/2 order of cheese sticks, and a cinnamon dessert pizza. The pizza was almost completely covered in pepperoni, with hot, gooey cheese and a tasty crust. The dessert pizza was covered in cinnamon and sugar and drizzled with vanilla icing. Delicious!!
And, no, I haven’t forgotten the breadsticks. We got a 1/2 order, which is two breadsticks. No kidding, they weighed about three pounds! To better describe them, they are listed as “Rolling Pins.” About 8″ long and 2” around, they are a stringy, cheesy, crispy delight. You have to try one!
We definitely recommend the Baker Boys for a good meal. They offer vegetarian and vegan menus, a clean environment, and moderate prices. It will soon become one of your favorites.
