Snakes of Tennessee

Melanie StatenAnderson, Our Town Outdoors

Now that spring is here, we are back outside again enjoying hiking and exploring nature. Understanding what we may encounter outside helps us be safe and prepared.

Meet the “Ssssnakes of Tennessee” with naturalist Don Hazel in a Zoom presentation at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, as he teaches us about our 32 species of snakes in Tennessee including the four venomous species. Learn where they live, what they eat and how to identify them. There will be no live animals but plenty of photos to learn about these fascinating animals.
