The Blount County deputy killed in the line of duty on February 8, 2024, will be memorialized with full police honors at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Sevier Heights Baptist Church.
Deputy Sheriff Greg McCowan of Maryville was just 43. His obituary reads he was living his life’s dream of being a police officer. “He had a heart to serve and was always wanting and willing to give a helping hand.
“… Greg will be remembered for his love for his family and his contagious smile.”
