Shirley Irene Stout, 85, a noted Fountain City business owner, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021. Friends may call at their convenience from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City. Friends and family will meet at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery for a 2 p.m. committal service, grandson Jacob Stout officiating.
Shirley and husband Foster “Shop” Stout were camp directors for over 40 years at Camp Springhill, held at Harrison Bay State Park in Chattanooga. Mrs. Stout owned Stout’s Hair Salon on Broadway since 1986. She was a proud supporter of Fulton High School athletics. Survivors include husband, three children and their families.
