A celebration of life for West Knox dentist James Rule Lockett will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service. Dr. Lockett died April 23, 2021, at age 94.
He graduated from Bearden High School in 1944, served in the U.S. Navy and graduated from the University of Tennessee and the UT Dental School in Memphis. After working for the Veterans Administration, he opened his private practice. He was a founding member of West Hills Baptist Church and later joined Cedar Springs Presbyterian.
