A Zoo Knoxville reader recently asked us about Brew at the Zoo, and we thought the answer was worth sharing with everyone. If you’ve been wondering what this popular fall event is all about, here’s a look at one of the zoo’s signature evenings for adults.
Brew at the Zoo returns Friday, Oct. 2, from 6 to 9:30 p.m., transforming Zoo Knoxville into an after-hours destination for guests 21 and older. The annual event combines craft beverages, live entertainment, animal experiences and conservation in one memorable evening. Guests can sample offerings from more than 40 craft breweries, cideries, ready-to-drink cocktails and seltzers while strolling through the zoo after dark. Local food trucks and zoo dining locations will also be open with food available for purchase.
The evening features live music throughout the zoo, including a band, a DJ, and bluegrass, creating a different atmosphere in several areas of the park. Guests will also have opportunities to chat with animal keepers during special encounters and enjoy a unique nighttime perspective on some of Zoo Knoxville’s most popular residents.
Several ticket options will be available, including general admission, VIP admission, designated driver tickets, and early-bird pricing when sales open. VIP admission includes access to a private tent with reserved seating, snacks, beverages, exclusive merchandise, and a commemorative cup. Designated driver tickets include unlimited water and soft drinks, plus a $15 food truck voucher.
Whether you’re a longtime supporter or planning your first visit, Brew at the Zoo is more than a fun night out. Proceeds help support Zoo Knoxville’s wildlife conservation efforts and animal care programs. The event is held rain or shine, and because attendance is limited, organizers encourage guests to purchase tickets as soon as they become available.
