Some dogs wear their past on their sleeves, but not Subie. If you met her today, you’d never guess she’s had a rough start in life. Her tail is almost always wagging, her eyes are soft and hopeful, and there’s a quiet sweetness about her that pulls you in from the very first moment.

Subie is the kind of dog who takes her time getting to know you. She may be a little timid and shy at first, but give her a few days, a little patience, and a lot of love, and something magical happens. She blossoms into your best friend… and your adorable little shadow. Wherever you go, she’ll be right there beside you, happy just to be near her person.

And once you earn her trust? It’s yours forever.

Subie is gentle, well-mannered, and wonderfully easy to live with. She’s potty trained, quiet, and does great at home, especially when she has a furry friend by her side. In fact, having a canine companion isn’t just a bonus for Subie, it’s a must. She thrives with another dog around, someone to comfort her, play with her, and remind her that she’s safe and loved.

The good news? She absolutely adores other dogs. She also gets along beautifully with cats, making her a perfect addition to a multi-pet home.

When she’s not following you around or cuddling up nearby, Subie enjoys the simple joys in life, like a good squeaky toy and a cozy place to relax. She’s not demanding or high-energy, just a sweet soul looking for a soft place to land and someone to love her for the rest of her days.

Subie doesn’t need perfection. She just needs someone patient, kind, and willing to give her the time she deserves. In return, she’ll give you something truly special: unwavering loyalty, quiet companionship, and a love that only grows deeper with time.

If you’re ready for a gentle, devoted best friend, and you have a dog who could be her emotional support buddy, Subie might just be the missing piece of your heart.

Come meet Subie. Your shadow is waiting.

Additionally, the adoption fee is fully covered for the perfect Subie family!

Pet Tip of the Day: Velcro dogs thrive on connection, but they also need to learn confidence. Encourage independence by giving them enrichment (like puzzle toys), keeping departures low-key, and rewarding calm, relaxed behavior when they’re not glued to you.
