Jenny Bushkell honored by the Girl Scouts

The Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians hosted approximately 200 attendees to honor Jenny Bushkell, a resident of West Knox County, at the Trefoil Society Luncheon on Thursday, October 26, at The Foundry, World’s Fair Park.

The Trefoil Society Luncheon is named after the trefoil-shaped pin Girl Scouts receive that symbolizes acceptance of ethical leadership values.

Lynne Fugate, CEO of the Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians said of Bushkell prior to the luncheon, “Jenny Bushkell embraces servant leadership and has a strong sense of community and desire to teach others. She is passionate about her faith and encourages others to find their confidence through her inspirational messages. Jenny is an excellent example for our Girl Scouts, and we are looking forward to honoring her at the Trefoil Society Luncheon.”

At the luncheon, Jenny spoke about how important Girls Scouts was in her life and how it influenced her character and her career path. She emphasized that girls need the leadership skills and support network that Girl Scouts provides, and how thankful she is that she was able to learn those things through her Girl Scout experience.
