Every wagging tail, every grateful purr, and every family that finds their perfect companion has a story. Many of those stories begin with a community that chooses to care.
On Friday, October 23, the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley (HSTV) will welcome animal lovers from across East Tennessee to Bridgewater Place for its Mask-Fur-Ade Gala, an elegant Bridgerton masquerade-inspired evening benefiting homeless animals throughout the region.
As HSTV’s largest annual fundraiser, the gala helps provide lifesaving care for thousands of animals through sheltering, medical treatment, adoption services, and community programs that keep pets with the families who love them.
Guests will enjoy dinner, live entertainment, inspiring stories, and exciting silent and live auctions, all while supporting HSTV’s mission to serve the region’s shelters, pets, and the people who love them.
The community’s response has been incredible, and tickets are almost sold out. Those who aren’t able to attend can still make a meaningful impact by donating an item or experience to the silent or live auction or by making a financial gift. Popular auction donations include vacation stays, sporting event tickets, gift certificates, artwork, handcrafted items, and unique local experiences. Every contribution helps provide a second chance for animals in need.
“As a private nonprofit that receives less than $1,200 a year from the state and/or government, our work is only possible because of the generosity of our community,” said KaDee Andreasen, Development Director for the Humane Society, Tennessee Valley. “Whether someone attends the gala, donates an auction item, or simply makes a gift, every act of kindness helps create brighter futures for homeless animals.”
