Festivals & Community Events
- August brings First Friday Celebration to Art Market Gallery. Downtown Knoxville’s Art Market Gallery is welcoming August with a First Friday Reception showcasing the work of two featured East Tennessee artists. The reception will be held Friday, Aug. 7, from 5:30-9 p.m. at Art Market Gallery, 422 S. Gay St. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the featured artists, enjoy refreshments and browse original works created by members of the cooperative gallery.
- Irish Fest on the Hill (Aug. 8): Come join us next Saturday for great music on two stages, great food, beer, wine, Irish Coffee, church tours, silent auction and more. Irish Fest on the Hill
Looking Ahead
- The 13th Knox Asian Festival: Tennessee’s largest celebration of Asian arts and cultures, will return to World’s Fair Park on Sunday, August 30, 2026, inviting thousands of visitors to experience the rich traditions, music, food, and heritage of Asia. The celebration begins with an exclusive VIP Cultural Celebration on Saturday evening, August 29, featuring internationally acclaimed performers and special guests. Festival hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Advance admission is $3 through Eventbrite, while tickets at the gate are $5 (cash and credit cards accepted). Children 12 and under are admitted free. Guests are encouraged to pre-register to receive discounted admission.
