City recognizes three west-area groups

Susan EspirituOur Town Neighbors, West Knox County

Outstanding community members and neighborhoods were honored at the city’s Neighborhood Awards Dinner on March 2.

Mayor Indya Kincannon presented the Timbercrest Neighborhood, the Western Heights Ambassadors and the Forest Heights Neighborhood Association with a Neighborhood Achievement Award.

And, of course, there were those Wiffleball winners.

Sunago Coffee recognizes service in a special way

It makes those smile lines deepen when I see a double recognition like the one I saw recently posted by a patron of a Hardin Valley business.

Derrick, the guy in the picture, (I am sure you figured that one out) was recently a customer of Brinley and Sara, baristas at Sunago Coffee. He was so impressed with their service; he messaged the store to recognize them.

The store invited him to come present special pins whenever he could drop by to award the ladies personally. Derrick came by the store, awarded the pins and now they proudly wear them on their aprons. This is a practice the company uses to incentivize excellent customer service and recognize it as well.
