Knox County Election Commission will meet at 8:30 a.m. Friday, June 23, in the small assembly room City County Building. Agenda items include certification of city council candidates for the Aug. 29 election and moving the East Knox County voting precinct 78 from the Riverdale Community Center on Flint Gap Road to Marbledale Baptist Church, 5935 Thorn Grove Pike.
Candidate Expo will be 4:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at the Knoxville Expo Center, 5441 Clinton Highway. The event is free for both candidates and attendees. It is sponsored by Tim Graham, CEO of Graham Corporation, which owns the Knoxville Expo Center, and Moxley Carmichael.
