  • Bark in the Park, sponsored by the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley, will be Saturday, June 17, at World’s Fair Park. Gates will open at 3 p.m. with a $10 entry donation. Activities for kids and Grayson Subaru’s “misting tent.” Info: https://humanesocietytennessee.com/bark-in-the-park/.
  • Dispose of old medicine from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at West Town Mall’s parking lot. Members of the East TN Regional Medication Collection Coalition will collect and properly dispose of the unwanted meds.
  • Bridge Refugee Services will host international food, dancing and kids’ games from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at 3839 Buffat Mill Road.
  • Lavender Festival will run 8-3 Saturday, June 17, in Historic Jackson Square, Oak Ridge. Admission is free with plenty of parking. Entertainment includes Alan McBride on the hammered dulcimer. With a $10 tasting ticket, those over age 21 can sample wine from four independent wineries.
  • Gospel music as Christ United Methodist Church, 7535 Maynardville Hwy. in Halls, hosts Dale Ann Bradley, Steve Gulley and Phil Leadbetter in concert Sunday, June 18, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free with donation.
