  • Nkechi Ajanaku memorial services will be held 3-6 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Haley Heritage Square, 1600 Dandridge Avenue. Ms. Ajanaku, 60, passed away June 1 at UT Medical Center. She oversaw African American Appalachian Arts Inc., which presents Kuumba every June.
  • Relentless Blues will perform at Knox County’s Second Saturday Concert series, 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 10, New Harvest Park. Ronnie Collins says the Tootsie food truck will be on hand. Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets.
  • Kids Fish Free Day, hosted by the Clinch River Chapter of Trout Unlimited, is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at the Miller Island boat access of Clinch River in Norris. The event is free and open to all. Info: http://crctu.org/.
