  • Council of West Knox County Homeowners will meet 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Peace Lutheran Church. Discussion will include short-term rentals, office zoning, recovery houses and a total overhaul of city ordinances that like will affect county ordinances within a short time.
  • Knox Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, in the main assembly room City County Building.
  • MPC will meet 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 8, in the main assembly room of the City County Building. Info: knoxmpc.org
  • The Clinch River Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host Kids Fish Free Day 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at the Miller Island boat access of Clinch River in Norris. The event is free and open to all. Info: http://crctu.org/.
  • Einstein Simplified will perform 5-7 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at the UT Arboretum in Oak Ridge. Only 90 tickets at $30 each will be sold. Various cheeses will be served and the ticket includes one glass of wine. Info: http://utas.brownpapertickets.com or http://www.einsteinsimplified.com
