Zoo Knoxville is adding a new soundtrack to summer with the debut of its 2026 Summer Concert Series, bringing live music, wildlife experiences and outdoor fun together at the zoo’s newest gathering space, the Boyd Foundation Boardwalk at Clayton Timber Loop.

The three-event series will take place on June 18, June 25 and July 2, offering guests an after-hours opportunity to enjoy live entertainment while exploring select areas of the zoo during the cooler evening hours. Concertgoers can stroll through the grounds, experience animal encounters and relax beneath the trees while enjoying performances in a unique natural setting.

The Summer Concert Series will be held at the Boyd Foundation Boardwalk at Clayton Timber Loop, an outdoor venue designed to connect guests with nature. Surrounded by native trees and wildlife, the boardwalk reflects Zoo Knoxville’s commitment to inspiring people to appreciate and protect wildlife and wild places.

The concert lineup includes:

  • June 18 – Tennessee Wind Symphony
  • June 25 – Pulp Friction
  • July 2 – Bluegrass Night

Each concert evening will feature:

  • Zoo access beginning at 4 p.m.
  • Special animal ambassador appearances and encounters
  • Opening acts beginning at 6 p.m.
  • Headlining performances from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs and settle in for an evening of music and nature.
