Transitioning

With cooler temperatures this week, we know our beloved color season is soon upon us.

Looking for a fall image to highlight this week started with a search of the word “fall” in my photo library. Only 796 images popped up though I know there are thousands of fall pictures on my computer. This means I am not doing a good job of labeling my images, the modern equivalent of throwing all your old photos in a shoe box without writing on the back.

Still, I found one that speaks to the season of transitioning from summer greens to fall colors. There are many small East Tennessee side roads that often lead to an abandoned barn or small family cemetery needing to be explored.

In the next few weeks get out and drive somewhere new. When the thought of “I wonder where that road leads” crosses your mind, make the turn. You likely won’t be disappointed.

First Friday Art Walk in downtown Knoxville is this week. Robin and I will be in our studio until 9 p.m. Please stop in and introduce yourself and see what we have been creating.

Photographer Chris and painter Robin Rohwer each week share a painting or photograph that captured their interest in hopes that it will also capture yours. They have a small studio and gallery in the Phoenix Building at 418 South Gay Street where you can stop and see their work. Their website is www.ChristopherRobinArts.com. All works are copyright protected.
