Swinging out of summer by Chris S. Rohwer

The end of summer has been on my calendar all year. However, when we rolled into fall last week, I was surprised. Summer is my least favorite season in the south so why regret its departure this year? Maybe it is outside projects that are not fully completed. Maybe it’s not getting enough trips into the mountains or time out on the kayaks.

In a couple of weeks, the fall color season will be in full swing and there will be no reason to look back. Fall is wonderful in East Tennessee and no one should regret its arrival.

Ask a photographer “what is the best camera?” and many will say it is the one you have with you. My iPhone was the best camera … at least on this beautiful morning.

Photographer Chris and painter Robin Rohwer share a painting or photograph each week that captured their interest in hopes that it will also capture yours. They have a small studio and gallery in the Phoenix Building at 418 South Gay Street where you can stop and see their work. Their website is www.ChristopherRobinArts.com. All works are copyright protected.
