Stephanie Brewer Cook receives Lifetime Award

Stephanie Brewer Cook received a special Lifetime Award from the disABILITY Resource Center at their ADA Anniversary Celebration Luncheon celebrating 33 years since the act’s creation.

Stephanie Brewer Cook serves as the coordinator for the city’s Americans with Disabilities and heads the city’s office for Disability Services, which coordinates compliance activities throughout the city and provides accommodations for citizens and city employees to attend public meetings.

The Lifetime Spirit of ADA Award not only honors Stephanie’s 25 years of advocacy and change she has made in our community for people with disabilities, but also expresses the gratitude the entire Knoxville community has for her diligent work to make Knoxville a more accessible city for every resident and visitor.
