South Knoxville gets new store in FarmSouth

Susan EspirituOur Town Neighbors, South Knox

There is a new community store in South Knoxville called FarmSouth, opening a couple of weekends ago. Up to 2000 customers filled the store throughout the day as the owner says on the website, “Unbelievable!! The parking lot was packed, the field at Marble Springs was full, and out-of-state visitors were pulling off John Sevier Highway into that parking area just to see what was going on!!”

The store was prepared well for a grand opening day by providing parking lot supervision, a shuttle to and from the opening day event, musical entertainment, door greeters, door prizes for visitors and of course a “beautiful and delicious spread” as it was described.

The FarmSouth vendors for the day totaled over 60 with displays and offering the items for the community to enjoy and purchase during the opening. According to Mel on the website, she says, “I couldn’t ask for better folks, and I have loved getting to know them and their families!! In the coming weeks, we will continue to introduce you to more of these great people!”

I look forward to visiting this wonderful new addition to the South Knoxville community.

The store is opened Thursday-Saturday from 10-6 and is located at 1603 Tipton Station Road. Visit the Facebook page: FarmSouth
