Farragut gets Boyd Foundation grant for dog park

The Boyd Foundation has awarded over $3 million in community grants to build and enhance dog parks across the state of Tennessee. The back of McFee Park will soon have a dog park thanks to a $25,000 grant from the Boyd Foundation. The town of Farragut is one of 100 communities chosen from across the state to receive a grant from the Boyd Foundation.

I asked Randy Boyd about this mission and his response shows again how much his work benefits the community. He said,“Jenny and I love dogs and love our community and love supporting projects that bring people together, and dog parks check all three boxes. We hope the Farragut community, our home community where we live, enjoys the park, both dogs and their people!”

From the Boyd Foundation website: the Tennessee Dog Park Dash was established in 2018 and funded by the foundation to make Tennessee the most pet-friendly state in America alongside other major efforts from brands such as Radio Systems Corporation, parent company of Petsafe. Through the Dog Park Dash, more than 100 communities across the state of Tennessee will benefit from dog parks.

The 100th and final grant was awarded to Waverly, Tennessee, at the culmination of this foundation’s goal.
