Signs, signs, signs

Sandra ClarkGossip and Lies

Just when I stopped to photograph a gaggle of unsightly political signs, a car slowed down and out stepped Ronnie Rochelle. He had come to place a sign on the busy Hardin Valley Road near Pellissippi Parkway.

Rochelle, who served as a volunteer on the Farragut Municipal Planning Commission and on the Knox County Board of Zoning and Appeals, is seeking an at-large position on Knox County Commission. He’s running for Seat 10, currently held by Bob Thomas, a candidate for county mayor.

Larsen Jay, founder of Random Acts of Flowers, is also a candidate for Seat 10. Both live on the west side.

Candidates for at-large Seat 11 live on the north side, R. Larry Smith and Justin Biggs. Ed Brantley currently holds Seat 11.
