Lana Sue McMullen, 71, of Powell, passed away on Sept. 2. She was an active community leader as past president of Noweta Garden Club and a dedicated participant with the PathFinders and Preacher Bob’s Ministry at Powell United Methodist Church.
She is survived by husband Kenneth McMullen, the CEO of Weigel’s in Powell, and their two daughters, Melinda Sharp and Carrie Robertson, and their families. Other obituary information is here.
Mrs. McMullen was born in Hazard, Kentucky. Tributes were posted online as her Powell friends learned of her passing. Donnie and Donna Jett wrote: “Ken and family, we are sad to hear of Lana’s passing, but rejoicing that she is now in the presence of our precious and loving Savior! She was a gracious lady with a sweet spirit, a beautiful smile and a loving heart. She will be missed … but not forgotten.”
The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Powell United Methodist Church, 323 W. Emory Road. The funeral service to follow.
