We had a fantastic kickoff to Knox County Public Library’s summer programming with the Children’s Festival of Reading last Saturday at World’s Fair Park. Dinosaurs ruled the day, and even our award-winning authors and illustrators were swept up in the excitement. When asked about the best part, one survey respondent perfectly summed it up: “I love how your imagination goes wild!”
We couldn’t agree more.
Now it’s time to “Roar into a story!” with programs happening all across the county. Thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Library, families can enjoy a wide range of events and activities designed to keep imaginations going wild all summer long. Books and reading remain at the heart of it all—but these programs are a fun and inspiring way to discover something new — and check out new books! While reading is reward enough, there are prizes!
