Penny Bandy was difference maker

A leader in the senior care industry has died.

Penny Gayle Bandy, 71, of Lenoir City passed away May 29. Arrangements are by Click Funeral Home and a celebration of life will be announced.

Mrs. Bandy founded East Tennessee Personal Care on the foundation of hope and life. According to her obituary, “She set out in this lifetime to make a difference, and she succeeded.” She belonged to several organizations including service on the boards of the O’Connor Center and Senior Companions.

In 2019, she was recognized by the state of Tennessee, receiving the John J. Duncan Sr. award for senior advocacy. She is survived by husband Mike Bandy; children Jason Bandy and Eric Bandy; grandchildren Seth Bandy and Jace Bandy; and sister Virginia Rogers.
