North Knoxville

The residents of Windsor Gardens on Inskip Road were celebrated with a Mother’s Day tea on Sunday. There was plenty of tea and cookies to spare with great company. We hope they all had the best day.

And don’t forget, Historic Fourth & Gill is gearing up for a neighborhood yard sale on Saturday, May 14, from 8 a.m. – noon. For more information go here.

Fountain City

The May 11 meeting of the Fountain City Business and Professional Association will be held at the Fountain City Lions Club building at noon. Lunch will be catered, and the price will be $15 per person. Guest speakers will be Bo Williams and Lori Tucker from WATE-TV. Student athletes from Central High School will be part of the meeting. The Fountain City Social on Harvest Mill Way hosts a Networking and Cocktails Happy Hour every Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Learn more here. Business owners and professionals are welcome to network while enjoying a cocktail.

Gibbs/Corryton

Various Gibbs High School choirs perform their final concert of the season this Friday night, May 13, at 7:30 p.m. “The Music of Living” will be performed by the Mixed Choir, Women’s A Capella and Choral Ensemble in the Gibbs High School auditorium. The concert is free.

Karns/Hardin Valley

The Karns Community Pool is hiring! The recently refurbished pool needs a manager and more lifeguards. For more information or to fill out a job application, go here. Additionally, the pavilion in the park also has a few open dates remaining for May if you’re looking for a place to host an outdoor event. Go to the same link to book a day!
