At the risk of sounding like a broken record, early morning is such a special time to explore and photograph the mountains of East Tennessee.  Light fog in the valleys with rays of sunlight streaming through the trees can make a complex scene simple.

Dan Lawson’s place on the Cades Cove loop road has been photographed and painted many times.  Check out Robin’s painting and some history here Dan Lawson had a Pretty Place.

The combination of fog, sunlight, and beautiful nature makes an early alarm worthwhile.

This week marks seven years since we began sharing a weekly piece of ourselves.  We appreciate the opportunity.

Photographer Chris and painter Robin Rohwer each week share a painting or photograph that captured their interest in hopes that it will also capture yours. They have a small studio and gallery in the Phoenix Building at 418 South Gay Street, where you can stop and see their work. Their website is www.ChristopherRobinArts.com. All works are copyright-protected.
