Marvin Enix was Halls treasure

Sandra ClarkHalls, Obits

When Bill Enix posted that his dad had died, almost 200 friends made comments about Marvin B. Enix. He truly touched the people he met. He was smart, good-natured and the very definition of an optimist. Amazingly, he passed these traits on to his children, Bill, Mark and Tammy.

Maré, Marvin’s wife of 65 years, is reflected in those kids as well. She was the perfect helpmeet for Marvin, who was not a conventional man. After Bill took over the family business, Enix Jewelry in Halls, Marvin opted not to retire. Instead, he opened a jewelry store in Murray, Kentucky, and commuted back to Halls for family gatherings. He retired a second time at age 84 and was 88 at his death.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Cornerstone Christian Church, 1411 Lantana Lane, Knoxville, with visitation from 2-4. Additional obituary information is here.
