Shannondale Elementary School announced first grade teacher, Maegan Lay, selected by her peers, to represent the school as 2023 Teacher of the Year. The Knox County Teacher of the Year for each grade band will be announced from all district-wide delegates in February.
Maegan says, “This is such an honor! I love that my calling is to shape and equip our future generation; to steer them towards knowing how capable they are of producing change one day with the gifts they have!
“I am also truly blessed to work with such an amazing staff. I have grown personally and professionally from each member! I am so grateful to learn from their expertise and work alongside each one of them! I love being a Shannondale Hornet!”
