The Knox Valley Homeschool Co-op has been coming monthly for some intergenerational time with residents of Island Home Park Health and Rehabilitation on Hillwood Drive: Island Home Park and Rehabilitation.
The residents play games with students such as Jenga, Rummy, Yahtzee and Qwirkle, while some students and residents color or enjoy conversation.
Activities Director Cheryl Weaver says, “The parents, staff and children enjoy it so much they are planning to come twice monthly after the first of the year.”
