Idle Tide

“If there’s a heaven for me, I’m sure it has a beach attached.”

It’s not hard to be a Jimmy Buffett fan.

While in college his music was a happy escape. Jimmy wrote everyday lyrics set to a sing-along style. I’ve been a Parrot Head for much of my life, loudly (and poorly) singing along.

Who doesn’t wish to live at the beach?

Who doesn’t yearn for the simple, barefoot life?

Who doesn’t dream of a sandy getaway?

Quite the influencer, Jimmy passed away September 1, 2023, at 76 years after living the life many wish we’d had.

Perhaps by coconut telepathy, I was slinging a little paint last week to the beat of his cranked-up tunes resulting in “Idle Tide.” A cute little frame sparked the idea, and some Buffett lyrics sealed the deal.

Rest in Peace, friend, thanks for the positive spin.

“I’d rather die while I’m living than live while I’m dead.”– Jimmy Buffett
