Ballerini sings in Fountain City

On Thursday, Knoxville native and country music star Kelsea Ballerini dropped the official music video for her newest single, “Half of My Hometown.” Ballerini debuted the song live on April 18 at the 56th Academy of Country Music Awards with fellow hometown hero Kenny Chesney, who sings backup on the recording. The song and accompanying video are a sweet and wistful ode to roads not taken. Had Ballerini not moved to Nashville at age 15 to pursue a career in music, she presumably would have graduated from Central High School.

Word got around a few weeks ago that Ballerini was in town shooting scenes for the video on Gibbs Drive and at Central in Fountain City. Tell us what else you spy in the video. Enjoy this heartfelt homage to Knoxville.
