Neighborhood Resource Fair. Saturday, August 9, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Jacob Building at Chilhowee Park. Learn how you and your neighbors can collaborate with local government and nonprofit agencies. Hosted by the City’s Office of Neighborhood Empowerment, the fair will offer door prizes, performances, children’s activities, and more than 90 City and County departments, non-profit organizations, and local services. The event is free.

Market Square Farmers Market: Every Saturday 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. and Wednesdays 10-1. Nourish Knoxville operates four, producer-only farmers markets in Knoxville. Everything sold at the markets is grown/ raised/ produced by vendors within a 150-mile radius of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Irish Fest on the Hill: On Saturday, August 9, 4-10 p.m., Knoxville’s Irish descendants at one of the most beautiful churches in Downtown Knoxville will provide a tour of the building and participate in a number of traditional Irish games and dances throughout the evening. Food and beverages are also available, and tickets cost $15 for adults. Info: Irish Fest on the Hill – Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Early voting for city of Knoxville primary election Aug. 6-21. Eligible city voters who live in these districts can vote for Knoxville City Council candidates: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6.
