The KnoxTNToday writers have spoken, and apparently nobody is ready to give up on the Vols!
After Tennessee’s showdown with Alabama, the Vols head to Columbia, South Carolina, for another SEC battle Saturday, Oct. 24, at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN.
And this week, all nine KnoxTNToday writers are predicting a Tennessee victory.
Some are expecting a comfortable afternoon. Others apparently believe the Vols will keep fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.

Our writers are united on the winner, but their predictions suggest very different ideas about how the game will unfold.
Linda Sullivan is feeling especially confident, predicting a 36-10 Tennessee victory — the largest margin of the group. Jan Dickens also expects the Vols to take control, calling for a 34-14 win.
Susan Espiritu and Maria Cornelius see comfortable Tennessee victories, while Charlie Barnett, Aneisa Rolen and Marvin West expect the Gamecocks to make things more interesting.
Thomas Mabry is the most cautious of the bunch, predicting a nail-biting 20-18 Tennessee victory. Tom King isn’t expecting much breathing room either, giving the Vols just a four-point advantage.
Apparently, everyone believes Tennessee can win. The disagreement is over how many fingernails Vol fans will have left when it’s over.

An exact score wins. If nobody predicts the exact final score, the winner will be the eligible reader whose prediction has the smallest combined difference from the actual scores.
If needed, the first tiebreaker is the prediction closest to Tennessee’s actual score. Any remaining tie will be decided by random selection.
