First Friday & Christmas parade are Dec. 2

You are cordially invited to celebrate over 140 local artists and their fabulous works Friday, Dec. 2, from 5-9 p.m. at The Emporium, 100 S. Gay Street. And enjoy the WIVK Christmas Parade at 7 p.m. on Gay Street. From 6-6:30 p.m., dancers with Circle Modern Dance will highlight three pieces from their upcoming show, set for Dec. 15-17 at the Laurel Theater.

This is the annual members show which will run through Dec. 22, 2022. Gallery hours are weekdays, 9-5 and Saturdays (Dec. 3 and 10 only) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Emporium will be closed Dec. 23 through Jan. 2 and will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Membership in the Alliance is open to all. Some Alliance members are full-time artists, while others have day jobs and create on evenings and weekends. Some are art professors at the University of Tennessee and area colleges. Others are teachers in Knox and surrounding counties.
