The Smith Road sidewalk improvement project in Farragut includes construction of a 5-foot concrete sidewalk and roadway improvements along the northern side of Smith Road from Everett Road to Andover Boulevard. Roadway improvements include additional curb and gutter, stormwater drainage and asphalt resurfacing. The project is expected to take six months. Residents should expect delays and watch for signs and flaggers.
The new section of sidewalk will link the end of the Grigsby Chapel greenway and Hickory Woods subdivision with the greenway along Everett Road. The newly-linked greenway/sidewalk will include a marked streetway through Hickory Woods subdivision.
