The town of Farragut is building a mid-block pedestrian crossing across Watt Road at the entrance to Mayor Bob Leonard Park. The projected cost of $238,317 will be exclusively from town funds.

The crossing project is scheduled to start on Monday, May 3. It will link the Orchid Grove and Sedgefield subdivisions to Mayor Bob Leonard Park. Construction will include approximately 700 feet of sidewalk, a pedestrian refuge island in the center turn-lane and flashing beacons on an overhead mast arm.

The project was designed by Cannon & Cannon Inc. and will be constructed by Whaley Construction.

It is expected to be completed in 90 days. Residents should expect delays and obey all signs and flaggers.
