Farragut adds new staff

The town of Farragut is welcoming several new staff members.
Trevor Hobbs is the new assistant to the town administrator. He received a master’s degree in public policy and administration from the University of Tennessee in August, and will work closely with Town Administrator David Smoak.
Karl Swierzko is the town’s new building official. He will use 37 years of construction industry experience to supervise the codes staff. This is a new position.
Connor Vermilyea has joined the community development department as a planner. He has a bachelor’s degree in geography focusing on Geographic Information Systems from the University of Tennessee.
“Filling these critical staff positions will enable us to take a more proactive approach to code enforcement, reduce review times for building plans and inspections and allow us to enhance our service levels to the community,” Smoak says.
The public works department has also added two new staff members: James Burnette and Brandon Willard.
