A much beloved community tradition continues this Saturday, Oct. 16, with the 43rd Fall Apple Festival at Washington Presbyterian Church in Corryton. The festival runs from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. and is a fund-raiser for church missions. For 2021, the recipients of the good will are Living Waters for the World, Morgan-Scott Project, Washington Presbyterian Church Designated Outreach, and Wesley House Community Center.

Important to note is the festival is CASH ONLY: no cards, no checks. Come prepared to stock up on locally prepared and crafted apple butter, fried apple pies, apple cider, etc. Fierce competition is expected in the Apple Pie Contest. Shop Granny’s Attic and the Country Market.

Get everything you need to host a football game party: canned goods, baked goods, or a pulled pork lunch (to go is available). There will be kids’ activities, too, as well as storytelling with an interpreter, a silent auction and live music all day long

The parking entrance is across from the church at 7405 Washington Pike. For more information go here.
