Gatorade announced on Friday that Farragut High School’s Elsa Morrison was named 2022-23 Gatorade Tennessee Softball Player of the Year.

The 5-foot-11 sophomore catcher transferred to Farragut High from Carmel High School in Indiana where she was recognized as the co-MVP as a freshman of their softball team.

This past season, Morrison allowed only four stolen bases and batted .617 with 23 home runs, leading the Admirals to the Class 4A state tournament. She posted 52 runs on the season, while driving in 71 total runs.

Morrison not only demonstrates exceptional athleticism but also an exceptional character as well. She is a member of her school’s chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes where she has volunteered locally as a youth softball coach.

As only a sophomore, we have two more years to watch this outstanding athlete.
