Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce made a big announcement at its networking meeting last week. The chamber’s board of directors voted to nominate and add Daniel Monday, COO of Slamdot, as a chamber board director.

The chamber cites Daniel’s history as one of the most active chamber members since Slamdot joined nearly 16 years ago, and that he has volunteered as an Ambassador, event committee member and other volunteer roles for almost as long.

Daniel has also been recognized by the Greater Knoxville Hospitality Association and American Marketing Association’s Knoxville Chapter for his volunteerism.

Daniel says of this new role:

“I’m both thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to serve in this role, especially with Slamdot’s long-standing membership for over 15 years, and my involvement as an Ambassador volunteer during the same time. It is an honor, especially knowing the great folks who have served, and those serving now.

“I look forward to sharing my time, feedback and perspective to continue moving the Farragut West Knox Chamber in the positive direction it’s been heading in for a while now under great leadership and committed volunteers.

“I invite our current members to stay or get more involved, as well as those who aren’t yet members to check us out. This organization is a gem, operating with open arms, and we’re here to serve the businesses and our community so everyone can thrive!”

Per the bylaws, Daniel will fill one of the vacant seats until June and will apply to the nominating committee in early 2024 to begin his own first 2-year term in July.
