Karns Middle School students Taylor Dabbs and Kevin Beltran Perez had artwork selected for the Dogwood Arts Festival guitar contest.
The Epiphone Guitar Design contest is open to all high school and middle school students living in East Tennessee. Only 22 students were selected for implementation and exhibition.
Taylor and Kevin will now be sent guitars to create their final art pieces which will be displayed at the Dogwood Arts Gallery and the Southern Skies Music Festival and then auctioned off at the music festival to benefit youth programs at Dogwood Arts.
The exhibition will be on display from May 3-30, 2024, and the First Friday opening reception is Friday, May 3, 5-8 p.m.
Guitars will be on display at the Southern Skies Music Festival on Saturday, May 11.
