Celebrating the history of Inskip Elementary, Lions Club

Beth KinnaneNorth Knoxville, Our Town Youth

The Inskip Lions Club has a dandy new mural painted on its headquarters that honors the long history between the club and Inskip Elementary School. The building, built in 1953, was provided by the Lions as a library for the school before the current school building was constructed and sits next door to the school.

The Club is inviting the public to the dedication ceremony for the mural on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 1 p.m. The mural was created for the enjoyment of the community, staff, students and parents of Inskip Elementary. The celebration will include refreshments. The building is located at 4701 High School Road.

And while we have your attention, there is still plenty of time to make a donation toward the auditorium/gym improvement fund sponsored by Knox TN Today and the Friends of Inskip Elementary. Just go here.
