When grandmothers get together, we all share stories about our grandchildren. My friend Chris Leach has some bragging rights about her grandson, Caleb Leach, who is fulfilling a 10-year dream to do Footloose, the Musical.

Caleb says, “I am super excited to be returning to the stage with The WordPlayers. I am playing Willard Hewitt in Footloose, the Musical!” He says it was supposed to happen the year of the pandemic but was canceled. So, this is even becoming a more special performance for him.
When he’s not performing with The WordPlayers, Caleb assists the high school theater program for Christian Academy of Knoxville as the technical director, designing the sets and teaching the crew class about the technical side of theater production and how to run it from the backside.
